Maple Syrup Sidecar
Ingredients :
1 ½ oz (45 ml) apple brandy or calvados
½ oz (15 ml) orange liqueur
½ oz (15 ml) maple syrup
¾ oz (22 ml) fresh lemon juice
A pinch of ground cinnamon
A pinch of ground nutmeg
Orange zest (for garnish)
Preparation :
In a shaker, add all the ingredients.
Fill with ice cream and stir until your fingers get very cold.
Strain through a fine sieve into a glass fitted with an ice cube.
Garnish with an orange zest.
About our Maple Syrup Sidecar
A great Prohibition classic that we love to taste during the fall, the Sidecar is a mixture of cognac, dry curaçao and fresh lemon juice. It has evolved a lot over the decades, but its basic recipe lends itself wonderfully to interpretations around apples and spices.
