Planter's punch with Vanilla, Grapefruit, and Grenadine Syrups
Ingredients :
1 oz (30 ml) dark or spiced rum
½ oz (15 ml) tiki syrup
¼ oz (8 ml) fresh lime juice
¾ oz (23 ml) fresh orange juice
1 dash of Angostura bitters
¼ oz (8 ml) grenadine syrup
Orange slice (for garnish)
Rondelle d’orange (pour décorer)
Preparation :
In a shaker, add all the ingredients (except the grenadine) and mix with ice.
Strain through a sieve into a tall glass filled with ice.
Carefully pour in the grenadine.
Garnish with an orange slice.

One of the oldest rum-based cocktails, Planter's Punch originated in Jamaica and is believed to date as far back as the 18th century. Rather than a fixed recipe, we are talking more about… a poem! “One of sour / Two of sweet / Three of strong / And four of weak”, which would translate to: “one part bitter, two parts sweet, three parts strong [alcohol] and four parts weak [water]. ]”. Here is our version, tasty, which evokes the pleasure of receiving with each sip.
