Classic Buttered Rum
1 oz (30 ml) spiced rum
2 tbsp. 2 tbsp (30 ml) brown sugar
3 oz (90 ml) still cider
Pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg
1 C. 1/2 tsp (5 mL) unsalted, tempered butter
Nutmeg and cloud of frothed milk (to garnish)
Heat a cup with boiling water then discard the water when ready to serve.
In a saucepan, gently heat all the ingredients to melt the butter and pour into the cup.
Decorate with a cloud of frothed milk and grated nutmeg.
