Our first tonic, which conquered the hearts of Quebecers from the moment it was released in 2016, comes straight out of the Saint-Ferréol-les-Neiges region. At the heart of this product is the juicy and acidic sea buckthorn of Léandre Saindon, a Montrealer who decided to settle in the region to work his own land.

Each year, he picks the best berries so that Patrice can blend them with Labrador tea while reminiscing about his many hikes in Charlevoix’s Parc des Grands Jardins, where local distillers also find inspiration for their gins.

How to use it?

  • Wheat beers and IPAs;
  • red and white sangria;
  • Perfect with still or sparkling cider;
  • In iced teas (black), iced coffee, with sparkling water, orange and carrot juice and kombucha;
  • In the kitchen to make vinaigrettes with salmon tartare, pork, beef, oysters, strong cheddar cheese and nuts.

Which cocktails to revisit with this syrup?

  • Boreal mulled cider
  • Boreal Gin & Tonic
  • Boreal Old Fashioned

Ingredients: Water, sugar, orange juice, lemon juice, sea buckthorn, citric acid (acidulant), quinine, orange peel, Labrador tea.

Made in small batches and bottled by hand in the beautiful city of Quebec, Canada.

The bitter florality of Labrador tea perfectly coats the boreal acidity of sea buckthorn, which is sustained by a delicate finish of orange and lemon peel.
