Amaretto Sour
INGREDIENTS LIST
- 1 ½ oz (45ml) of amaretto
- ½ oz (15ml) of whisky
- ¼ oz (8 ml) of Monsieur Cocktail lime syrup
- 1 oz (30 ml) of fresh lemon juice
- 1 egg white or vegan emulsifier
- Angostura bitters (for garnish)
Optionnel :
PrEparation
- In a shaker, add all the ingredients and shake with ice.
- Strain and shake again without ice.
- Double-strain into a chilled glass.
- Garnish with a few drops of Angostura bitters.
About
This Sour is different from the other classic ones because, at its most basic, it only needs amaretto and lemon juice, because contrary to a spirit, the amaretto already provide ample sugar to balance the citrus. Our version is more adapted to modern tastes and offer a stronger body thanks to the whisky and a more complex acidity with the combination of both lime and lemon.
